For more than two years, Diário Catarinense newspaper followed the daily routine of farmers Iracema and Dirceu Canofre de Campos and their 14 children. The reality of this family living in misery is shown in this interactive and multimedia report.
Focusing on the Bells sounds and the ‘Sineiro’ Craft, the project works with the combination of memory and new technologies, sound cartography, engagement of civil society and valuation of individuals holding the knowledge registered as patrimony.
The application uses GPS from smartphones to deliver georeferenced roadmaps. The audios invite the user to interact with the locations and stories shared by the most diverse voices that form a city.
The project is a result of the Digital Media Writing course, of the course on Digital Media Systems of Ceará Federal University (UFC).
